Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park
There is no better place in the region to visit than the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park. This is the most popular park in Minnesota and it’s not hard to understand why. This unique park features the most breathtaking sight of the water roaring in the dam forming rainbows in the mist. To enable people to have views of the dam, there is a 12-foot-wide (3.66 meters) walkway on top of the dam. Drifting from the dam, follow the trails that snake into the charming, lush surrounding. Admire the spectacular sight of birds and wildlife in their natural habitat.

Bunker Hills Regional Park
In Coon Rapids, there are many beautiful parks, but none compares to Bunker Hills Regional Park in terms of the wide spectrum of adventure facilities it offers. The park sits on a 1,600-acre (647.50 hectares) piece of land with such a serene atmosphere that invites you to come to explore nature and have fun. Experience the Bunker Hills charm as you enjoy horseback riding around the water park. Other important features include disc golf, archery, a pavilion, compost site, meeting rooms, and cross country skiing.
